This song was originally performed as part of a protest at the 2012 meeting in Rio de Janeiro in which nations were attempting to renegotiate the Kyoto climate change protocols. The song was meant to mourn the effective death of the process of negotiation among nations on this -- and to celebrate the thriving life of Global Civil Society in its work on climate change.
